Cute Couple Alert

I was browsing through Just Jared earlier this morning and came across this adorable picture of "Dan" and "Serena" shooting scenes for Gossip Girl in Central Park. The real-life couple complemented each other's style so well. I call it the casual-let's just walk around the park and look cute-look.

Blake Lively's outfit mixes two striped pieces together--the top in loose cotton fabric, and the mini skirt in a metallic shine.  This is the right way to mix pieces with similar patterns together, make sure each one has different texture so that it's not too matchy-matchy.  She tops off the outfit with a light blue, denim-like, fitted blazer to give it the overall casual vibe.

Penn Badgley is outfitted in a light denim-wash button down shirt that's flattering to this skin tone, fitted dark jeans and comfy brown loafers.  

Don't you just want to skip your work day and aimlessly stroll around Central Park like this duo?  It sure beats being in front of a computer screen all day. :-P
